Is just me?

I have been having problems logging onto the FishErie site and sometimes it takes up to 5 minutes to get pages to download.  This morning I could not log on for over 2 hours.  I was wondering if others are have the same problems.

Have that problem every night it seems. Sometimes I just give up.
Usually happens after midnight. Maybe Fishusa powers down to 2 AA
batteries instead of 4 after midnight.

Not just you, Bughawk... I usually have trouble with severe lag or not even being able to move page to page at all from about 0130 till 0430... figure it is the site getting routine clean up work done overnight.

This morning though it wouldn't work at all from 0645 till after 9 sometime, and tried on 3 different machines from 3 different connections... usually isn't quite that bad but seemed fine later.

Hopefully was just some routine type work being done... could cause some real withdrawl if it happens very often!

Late at night or early morning around 1am-6am I have not able to do anything, then it seems to work again later.
This has happened for a few months.

Now it happens at random all day when using firefox.
Sometimes switching to internet explorer works but not always.

I've had trouble for quite a while, especially in the early AM.
One reason why I don't read or post much.
Also, sucks when I type and hit the "OK" button and it diplays "server not found".
Usually I just give up on the first try.
    Seems OK this morning.

Sometimes when that happens, I figure the Administrators (or others) are working on the site, so I'll switch to something else and later when I come back, it seems fine. It may be from a period of high use or download, but my computer skills are limited. Like I said, I usually switch to something else and then come back and it's fine!

Seasonal network loading due to everybody doing on-line christmas shopping.
High traffic volume has the internet servers clogged up with credit card transactions.

The website administrators are tired of everybody whining and crying about the lack of steelheads, misinformation about Marcellus drilling and bawl-baby football players being canned, and they shut down the forum to punish everybody!

We made some changes to our nightly maintenance procedures which should help some.  I notice that even now the sites are still running slow.  We hope to get this resolved in the next few months.  We'd like to do something sooner but we are approaching the busiest time of the year for us at FishUSA.

Please bear with us for time being.
