Have you ever tried glue eggs?

Also for you're crystal egg patterns try some white and pink combinations, works extraordinary in semiclear to clear water!

I have been meaning to try an eggsucking leech pattern w/ some of the better colored egg patterns I have tested, but also tie a streamer / minnow w/ an egg, an egg chasing minnow of some sorts.

As for nymphs my knowledge is very slim, have seen people do well on gold bh hair nymphs, black stone flies, and I have done alright on prince nymphs, I think they are they are the very best thing to use when its gin clear, at least in my experience

I have been learning to make the moe eggs.  I have also tried making some egg clusters on the hook.  They look pretty much like a small bit of skein.  I have made up some egg sucking leeches with a moe egg.  They look really neat, but I have not fished them.  I will see about posting a few pictures of these flies.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I love to come up with experimental flies, but I don't fish much any more so I don't get many opportunities to give them a try.  That is why I am giving flies away so that I can get some feedback on what seems to be working and what doesn't.

Took a year off of work to fish?!!! That sounds like heaven!

paul2ski pm me your address and I will send you out a few flies to try.  I am not the best tier out there, but they are not too bad.  My thinking right now is egg and minnow patterns will be the most productive.  I won't bother you will sucker spawn or glo bugs as I know these are killer flies and will work, but I have my interpretations of the emerald shiner, green butt skunk, polar shrimp, moe egg clusters, veiled moe egg, etc... all of which I have a lot of hope for.

Bug - your emerald shiner looks awesome! I haven't had a chance to try it out yet but your version looks much better than mine. thanks again.
