Late 30,31 report

Been out of the swing of things this year with the bass tournaments, the new wife as of Aug but been,trying to play nice. So I told her I was going for the day on sat and be home sat night but had a overnight bag packed allready Whats the saying, what mama don't know won't hurt her. Got to the first spot at the crack of light and hooked one on my second drift great I said have it all to my self.I hooked three more by 10am and decided to move on, and walk and look at the new river. I wandered into spot #2 and there were a hand full of guys fishing walked off the bank that was less then knee deep this spring and went up to my waste wow!! I ended up fishing there till almost dark and put 9 more on the bank biggest about 10 lbs. started the walk back to the truck stopped at one more spot before dark third drift the float goes down it was a monster I guessed it to be high 16s fought it to the bank after a good 15 min fight her runs became shorter had her sliding to the bank and I grabbed the line well away she went. Made the phone call to the wife and she wasn't mad GREAT!!! went to spot #2 right off the bat in the am sunday. Started fishing and was into fish right away 1 for 10 by 8.15 am they wanted the sacks today. I kept clamping the center pin when I set the hook and wouldn't let go ,I kept doing it was like 7 for 16 by noon and had to make a hand hold change and it worked lost one after that do to my error. ended the day with the biggest landed 31 3/4 incher. My best day ever,12 for 21, rain coat in the truck wet to my fruit of the looms and a happy wife at home what a great weekend.

Nice report - sounds like you had a good time.
 
About the wife.. did she tear off your wet clothes and commence to laundering them in the washer/dryer outfit you bought her as a wedding present?
 
just kiddin - sounds like you got a good woman - just keep her happy and don't abuse the fishing card too often.
