Read the post above on questions on steehead fishing. May help you out.

There will be days when fishing is better than ones optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

    Read this:

Also, best way to learn is get out there...and be friendly with other fishermen. They will give up tons of hands on information.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Assuming you mean jigging or moving your presentation as to provoke the fish to hit or just dead drift your presentation...why even consider limiting yourself to just one tactic? Just try both according to situations/conditions that are in front of you. I sometimes even jig an eggsack to provoke a strike, especially after several dead drifts down through a nice pod of fish. While fishing a jig, I'm almost always trying to make it look alive.

read the DWCO report, as he provided a couple good spots(burn) to fish

Advice? Stay home, there's no/few fish in the creeks. SO few in fact, that they're being "roped" by the thousands

If you catch a 12 lb. fish,do not post a pic of it.No one will believe that it weighs 12 lb.

did they weight it at poor richards??? or did u just guess the weight and mesure it with ur foot?

10% Of the fishermen catch 90% of the fish..... IT AIN'T LUCK

Definitely try both tactics. There are times when suspended fish who get out of the way of a dead drift will chase a jig which is worked to imitate baitfish. And vise versa.

"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men."
