THE ESCAPEE IS DEAD

We had two bucks 6 years ago.Last year the one got wat to agrresive so we cut there horns off.The tame one named bam was like a dog but when we cut the horns off of him he died. This year grinch must of jump the fence he was in.Our neighbor jimmy watched this deer all summer long then finally yesterday he killed him.
Jimmy killed this one.

This is the deer we raised yes we got permits with his tag number that's in his ear.

WF i got guys that tell me they see 150 to 170 inch bucks every year.I don't think alot of guys know what a 150 inch buck is.I think if they think it's 150 more an likely 115 to 120.Alot of guys come to the garage an swore the old mans buck was in the 150's but not even close. Then you got guys that saw you mounts of deer they had mounted an say that one score 120 **** it be luck to big in the 100.It takes a hell of a buck to hit the 150 mark

95-100 would be my guess. A lot of deductions. Would score good if the one side was like the bigger side.

Take it for what it is worth, but I don't see 144" on that buck, even gross. Probably more like 120-125" gross IMO.

Whatever it is nice buck. I would never post a score on here, to many different views. I would bet that could be in the 140s with the two beams on one side. Bigger than anything I ever shot.

I scored him at 121 and 2/8.I'm far from a professional measurer but i just went under boone crocket website an punched the numbers in and they automacially take deductions off for you on that site.Would the old mans buck be able to register under pope and young since he killed it with an xbow?

You may be right Esox but I did not score this deer my Taxidermist did. And I just never really took the time to do it myself.

Dan, I meant no disrespect about it, either way it is still a cool buck with great character.

OA, 160-165" gross. Is it your buck?

That buck could push upper 160's gross if the mass is there...But I'm not much of a score keeper.

    OA,

I'm not an expert, but I'd put my guess right around 150-155 gross. That's figuring about 22-26" main beams, about 20" tip to tip and 24" max spread. I guessed brows at 4", G3's at 8" and varying points between. C1 @4, C2 @ 4.5, C3 &C4 @ 5. The B&C website calculator did the math and also said 149 net with 7" deductions, but I wasn't being picky about my estimations.

    Thanks,
    Rick

Don,t know if you saw this:

    Barry Kern 2010

    Pennsylvania record?

    October 26, 2010

This 14 point whitetail should be setting some records for the Keystone State. Barry's archery buck is estimated to be a young deer, only 3 1/2 or 4 1/2, but he sure sports impressive antlers. It is reported to have a green gross score of 189. A buck of this caliber has the potential to be the new Pennsylvania archery record and will also place very high in B&C typical entries from the state as well
