well the circus was in town this week end (as expected)
i went up friday thinking i might get one pieceful day in...wrong
at the school house i was amused to see the big tree was gone...now replaced by two or three others...and the high wire acts were on...running up and down the trees to try to fight fish he11 bent on breaking them off in those new branches
then i had 3 guys wade right out past me and stand where the fish had been holding
i asked them to move back in line with everyone else and they refused, so i waited about 10 minutes and tailed one behind them...idiots
i took a drive over to the sandys and the water was just right, did well the rest of the day on salmon, steelies and browns
saturday the word had gotten out and the sandys were mobbed, raped and pillaged
so when i went for lunch i decided to look for some solitude, went to the hatchery and watched beaver brook for a while )love watching those fish( then took a drive and all of the lots were overflowing, people seemed to be behind every tree
so i packed up camp and came home 2 days early

well, as you stated in your first sentence, you expected a circus.......

Yeah- I hate people, but I love the fish & water enough to keep going back. Too bad about the Sandy's.

south sandy... when there are a lot of fish... there are a lot of people... and it gets ugly. i target steel only in any of the sandys...

I just found myself banned for private messaging Tempe.
Nothing posted on the open forum.
I was never warned in the past.
Nothing except me first asking if his hissy fit was aimed at me and then thanking him for his response saying I hadn't been sure we weren't all being told to goose step to his tune.

Went up there this past weekend, it wasn't as bad as I thought, until Wednesday. Met a lot of nice people, and most were considerate....however, there were like 30 Russians at the wire pool, and it was obvious that they were ripping. One casting out, then dragging his line and pole through the water. Such a shame that people have no manners. I had to yell at one that moved right into my spot as I was trying to reel in a fish!

I did end up having someone call the DEC, doubtful that anything came of it though.
