CORE AREAS

I watched a pro hunter kill a 200 inch buck with his bow last night on tv.He said he hunted him for 2 years but what i dIdn't understand is that he said he know his core area. The only then i can figure he was in ohio maybe hunting a small woodlot? The area i got alot of big bucks is in higher elevation with huge tracks of land and acorns everywhere.Where do you even begin to start to try find there home range?I know you probably won't see these big guys till NOVEMBER

Every buck 2-1/2 or older has his own what is called core area regardless of the type country he lives in. It's a relatively small area where he feels safe and he well venture out from there various distances depending on the time of year. It's like you have your house or farm where you are comfortable and spend a lot of time there but do go other places, but always come back home. Find it, hunt the edges but don't enter the center and you improve your chances greatly.
