Bird deserve to eat just as much as the worms if thrown out.

The minnows would be considered "refuse or rubbish".

My biggest concern when I go fishing is getting dirty or stepping on a pile of minnows, especially if I'm wearing my neoprene bootfoots when its in the upper 70's.

I feel your pain Wilbur.  I work near the stadiums on the new subway.  I am ashamed to be a Steeler fan every Monday morning when I see what is laying around with garbage cans and recycling bins everywhere.  I could understand a little Raven Retch, but people don't have any pride anymore.

I was fishing last night at a local dam and went out on the dock and my boy got tangled up in about 50 yds of line someone just left there. Just on that little dock we left with that line and three or four empty soda bottles. Sad part there was a garbage can 20 yds away. Slobs.

Last year when I went up to fish Oak Orchard I was absolutely blown away by all the discarded line. Every rock, branch, root, tree, twig and crevice had line crammed and tangled up in it. It was disgusting. Not even the heaviest fished areas on PA stocked streams are as bad as the Oak is. Despite the nice water and big fish, it was bad enough I never plan on going back. It left that bad a taste in my mouth.

    I liked the idea.

O' we have them here too. But getting someone to use them is the problem...
