Trout Beads

I started fishing with trout beads this past spring and had a lot of success with steelhead. Just wondering if the DEC is ticketing fisherman because the hook is an inch or two below the bead.

    No they are not.

I heard rumors that any possible regs pertaining to such a rig will be addressed in 2012.

i hope they don't outlaw it. i typically runn a beed about 6-12 inches above a sac mostly. if they outlaw the bare hook, just run the beed 6 or so inches above a samll egg fly or somethig else creative. you'd be surprised with your efforts when you get creative.

I tailed a Big King for a guy on Monday. He had a bead pegged. Hook was in the corner of the mouff.
