Fall Steel Trolling
Anybody have any suggestions on set-ups for trolling off the mouths of the tribs for fall steel?

My best suggestion would be to stay out of casting range.
I don't always snag fish, but when I do... I choose Little Cleos I'm the best looking smartest snagging poacher alive...

Shallow diving plugs, IE Renosky's, Thundersticks, around 50 feet back, off of boards.
You don't HAVE to focus just on the stream mouths. They cruise all along the shoreline.

Orange or red or black colored shallow plugs. Spoons work well, but when I hook a fish I like to slow down a little, and the spoons usually get hung up and lost.

I was thinking about spoons on cookie dipsy's down boards as well as shallow reno's and long a's. Basically fish the plugs like early walleye night trolling. You guys think cookie dipsy's will be overkill?

Spoons on riggers at 5' with long 100' leads and bright plugs on boards. Run over the lines at trout run with a board I enjoy that.

Or steelheadfillet the screen name says it all . He'll get ya on the right track . His residence is under Route 90 PM him for directions don't wanna " spot burn " ..

I an soooo ready to hit the water. Been out so little last couple months that I was ready to throw some stabil in and winterize. The bright spot however is now just bein on the water will fix me up ! (bite or two wouldnt hurt though ) Again, love the people and info available here !
