Ten Mile
Hello. This is my first post, but i have been reading the board for a few weeks. I was wondering if anybody could maybe provide me with places to park my vehicle to fish 10 mile creek. i tried the search function but didn't find what i was looking for. i know about 10 mile park and one other place, but was just trying to find info on other places. i am not trying to take anyone's spot, just looking for suggestions.i would prefer spots closer to washington county than the waynesburg portion. thanks

There is an old gas station just off the marianna exit, you can park there and fish that section, I usually stop in and ask permission to park there just so they know why the car is sitting there all day. This section is fairly deep, I have seen a lot of big bass and trout come out of this section but the trout fishing hasn't been the same as if was 3 or 4 years ago...
The moment of truth. Where all other things unconsciously melt away from our minds the instant a fish takes our fly. We stand there on the water with wide eyes, caught in a battle stance with an idea of confidence and hope

can someone tell me the rules pertaining to posting a creek private property? For example, if a creek has the yellow posted sign on trees only on one side, does that mean you cannot fish that creek? Or does it mean that the woods beyond those signs are private property?

if there are no signs on one side of the creek then i would say its not posted, if they dont want u on the property they usually post on both sides of the creek, where might u be talking i may be able to help u out and let u know whether or not u will be safe pm me if u dont want anyone else to know

Remember in Pa, landowners can own the streambed if the property line goes beyond the edge of the bank.

10 mile seems to have gone down hill in the past 3 or 4 years, always used to catch nice smallies on the north branch from marianna to clarksville but just cant find em anymore, always an have done well this year on saugers on the lower part of the creek, never tried the south branch but always wanted to. there is still good fishing between marianna and clarksville, just have to walk farther than you used to to find them but they are still there, and still in decent sizes too

I grew up fishing Ten Mile from Marianna to 79. Used to park across the dam in Marianna, or in the large parking lot adjacent to it. Caught some very nice smallmouth below the dam and last year even caught a few trout below and above the dam. If you fish around the bridge in Marianna keep your eyes open for suckers floating around that have been victimized by toothy critters... I've also had success fishing across from Rudnicks bar. There are some deep holes to throw into and also some fast moving water to drift spinners in. Trout in that area as well.

I've never seen any sign of musky above the dam and don't recall any stories of folks catching them. The stocked Tigers from the early 90's are probably dead and gone.

im a mail carrier and sometimes work out of the marrianna office ive never fished that part of ten mile. however ive heard stories from the locals that they have caught and seen muskys under the bridge area above the dam..however never seen any proof of that by picture. maybe only way to find out for sure is spend a little time fishin for them. know how it is when it comes to muskys alot of stories but not alot of proof.

My old man always wanted my brother and I to have Kayaks just for that reason, I have a feeling a lot of that water above the dam doesn't get touched. Who knows whats lurking in some of those holes. I'd love to find out!
