ARROWS

I got 2 arrows made up yesterday one was FMJ the other st axis both 400 spine. The FMJ weighed in at 415 and st axis 410.The FMJ shot at 276 fps and the ST AXIS 281 fps.I been doing alot reading on these two arrows and the only negative thing i can find is on the FMJ they say they could bend when pulling them from a target.Anybody out there shooting either or any insight would be great.I already know that the st axis flys really well even under spined.

I love my gold tip hunter xt arrows, if I had to complain about them I'd say they are a bit on the light side, but as far as manufacturing consistance and durability for the money they have my business for now. Still open to try others, almost went with piledrivers for the ke boost but with the speed my new bear assault throws the gold tips I dont see penetration being a problem.

the fmj is an interesting concept but yes, you risk bending similar to the days when we all shot aluminum arrows.
for years I hung on to my easton XX75 Gamegetter II Camo Hunters, I bent a few over the years... plus fmj = $$

I dont know chicken, i use easton xx75 superlite 2413 with 4 inch vains. old aluminums, great penetration, great kenitic energy. never weighed the arrow, but i know it shoots 250-260s fps outta my bowtech. works great for me. i never shot a practice arrow at a deer and if i missed a deer that became a practice arrow. i've never bent an arrow pulling them.....but have bent them from missing and from kill arrows. I've never liked the idea of shooting a "light" arrow with fast speed but i know they work. I also learned the more you change things the easier it is to feel less comfortable on what you're doing. i've been bow hunting 10 years now..the only thing i've change in the ten years is upgrading bows. still the same basic set up on them though. Arrows are still the same and the same make of broadhead.

    Kinetic energy = Speed X Speed X Arrow Weight / 450240

Better too far back, than too far forward.

Easton Axis worth every penny.  I had to turn my bow down to 50 lbs due to bad rotator cuff which turns out to shoot about 251 ft/sec.  Two friends shoot bows that shoot 290+ ft/sec with carbon arrows and while we were shooting at the same 3d target, for the past two weeks my arrows went clear through the target and theirs did not.  Also, I put the arrows through the durability test meaning my four year old loves to pull them out of my block target for me.  Needless to say he's not too careful to pull them straight out and they still are straight.  lol!  Nothing but great things to say about them.
