ohiopyle 8/28

woke up at 430 saturday morning with the urge to get to some cooler water and wet my line, so i hopped in the truck and away i went, got there around 630 got on the river and started my adventure, did a good bit of walking and a good bit of fishing, no action until about 830 and then it was on for the duration of my trip, alot of small brownies a couple decent ones and a few smallies, was a great time though and it felt so good to be 49 degrees in the morning for a change, i will post a few pics after i get home from work later

It looks like those cool temps were just a tease, as it is back to really stinking hot outside today.

Nice. I was hoping to get down there last week but it didn't happen. Now since it decided to get hot again, the canoe hatch will be back out lol.

Last time I was down there, I stopped and walked around Meadow Run. Let me just say, that I couldn't believe that I have fished there lol. Patiently waiting for the cooler temps to get that crowd out of there so I can fish again lmao!

yea... big guys went into hiding, but I know where they are

will only tell elitist fly snobs though, sorry.

Great outing looks like you had fun. Water is in nice shape for this time of year. My camp is 1 mile from the falls..........you're right it's been pretty crazy the last few weekends.

Those are not wild fish.  Well, the bass is, but the trout are not.

no the trout was returned to the water the moment after i shot the picture i caught the fish layed it down stood up snapped a pic and returned it to the river where it swam away on its own unharmed i do not eat trout the only fish i ever eat are walleye, again there were no fish harmed in the process of photography it will live to grow larger or until someone else decides they want to eat it

    So snarky means troll?

Can I use the excuse that I lost my old log info so made a new screen name? Since you seem to know everything thought I better get it approved by you.

Until the. I'll keep calling out people for laying fish on rocks if you consider that snarky

ive never killed a trout by laying it on a rock ever since ive started fishing as long as u dont let it lay there for 5 minutes and u get it right back in the water they are fine believe me i wouldnt do something if i knew it was going to destroy the life of a trout

So let's say you're a little trouty living in meadow run. Water temps are 50's you hide under a
rock and water passes smoothly over
your slimey skin as you take in oxygen rich water while searching
out a tasty looking vibrax spinner attached to 12 pound line. You're fooled by the flash and sound you attack the metalic prey. Your lips are peirces by several size 1 hooks with deep barbs. Your pulled from cool water dragged up the bank tossed in sharp rocks. The trebel hooks are dug out of your mouth and you lay there baking in the sun while your captor pulls out his new digital camera to snap a few pics. Then your dropped back into the water. You struggle back to your rock and try to catch your breath ad wonder WTF just happened. One week you're happy loving on a raceway fighting for pellets now your ugly dried out mug is all over fish erie.
