Lodging recommendations...

3 of us are heading up in late September. Looking for some recommendations for a decent place to stay. Must have cable so we can watch football!! I have stayed at 2 dives in the Pulaski area and want to avoid taking another chance at a new place and get unlucky again. We stayed at the Port Lodge last time, great place, but the are all booked the weekend we want to go, 9/24 - 9/26. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

The Schoolhouse Inn might have something, rooms are tight but clean.
It's getting a little late you might have to take what you can get....or go after Oct.15.

I was at The Schoolhouse Inn last year with my boys. The room is small with a small tv. But it is cheap and clean. Also the tackle shop,  with food is 100 yards away. We like to fish the lower SR  so its is a bit of a ride.

deer creek motel we used to stay there its alright but not as nice as portlodge. We are going at the same time but are staying till the 28th. We might have a extra room but you would have to take it for the full time. My uncle passed so we may not need the second room. I will know better by sunday. Here is my email adambaker.1976@yahoo.com

Deff. check out foxhollow lodge, 1880 house is also good. However, if you can't find anything at this late date, just drive down 81 towards Syracuse. You can always find rooms there, even a day before you go....it's only 25-30 min. drive. No more than most of your local fishing trips. I do this all the time so I can wait and watch the weather and river conditions and not waste a trip up there....good luck...

pafisher, I usually stay at a Hampton Inn (wife approved) for about $80/night. There are more chain motels up there that are cheaper, but the wife likes the Hampton..........
