Who flipped a boat on Lake Wilhelm?

I was sitting at work and my phone started buzzing....so I looked on KDKA.com and apparently someone capsized a boat on Lake Wilhelm. Anyone know much of it yet?

Rode past @ lunch & saw all the commotion.
They appeared to still be searching by boat between the causeway & launch #2.
Haven't heard the cause ~ or outcome yet.

Hate to hear about this. Praying for them.

Was on the big pond yesterday and by 12 the waves were 2-4, by the time we quit at 1:30 they were 6,ers.
The wind blew us into Pa. water and took 2 hrs. to get back to Conny. On they way in we passed a 14ft. with a 9.9
2 miles east of the perch pack. Crazy!

    According to KDKA...

Search Halted After Boat Reportedly Capsizes Emergency crews have called off the search for a capsized boat in Mercer County.
According to officials at the scene, crews found no evidence of a capsized boat.
When asked if the incident may have been a hoax, officials said it was a possibility.
Emergency dispatchers said they received a call from an older-sounding man who was saying "Help! Help!"
Emergency boats were sent to the lake and a command post was set up at the marina.
Crews made three passes in the air and on the water and have not been able to locate either the boat or the missing boaters.
The lake is more than 1,800 acres and is 22-feet deep at its lowest point.
It's located within the Maurice K. Goddard State Park in Sandy Lake.

I put my boat in at the wilhelm marina on Friday at about 6pm at that time news trucks were leaving the fish commission had thier boat tied up at the dock and the search called off and thought to be a hoax according to a couple of bystanders that I talked to. Has there been any reports after friday?...If it was a prank call via cell phone I think it would fairly easy to catch the culprit????

fryem, I heard it was a phone that no longer had a calling plan, but you still can call 911. the actual owner of the phone may have thrown or givin it away. If it was the phone owner all he had to do is say he threw it away weeks ago. But, I hope they find and prosecute them.
