greenlick

Was out at Greenlick to-nite throwing lures from shore, caught some bass, a couple legal & some short. Buddy caught some gills & crappie on bait. Yesterday a couple of buds did pretty well at Somerset lake with a mixed bag including a bunch of crappie & a legal walleye. Fish hit well most of the day, they were dragging twisters.Fishing has held up this year for us & seemed like the heat has bothered us more than the fish.Greenlick seems to be dropping.I want to go to Crooked Creek for cats, but can't fit it in yet. sam

i've been crushing 10" to 12" perch at greenlick every time i go. one of the last times i was there i got 15 perch that were actually big enough to keep. oddly enough they were all caught either on cut bait, shrimp or dough bait. the hungry little s$#ts where some how getting themselves hooked on 2\0 circle hooks too. we haven't gotten a single carp and my wife was the only one to have gotten a channel this summer. it was 28" and fat. my friend was there the other day and saw a dead walleye or sauger, it had turned white so he couldn't tell, either way he said it was close to 15" maybe more.

Hmmm, the dead sea is alive again?  lol.

My nieces are in town next week and want to wade the Yough for Smallies.  It will be their first time river fishing.  I might also have to hit GL for some Perch & Largemouth one evening with them.
