Shenango oil spill!

20,000 gallons of oil have spilled into the Shenango River!!

MERCER COUNTY, Pa. -- About 20,000 gallons of a type of oil has spilled into the Shenango River in Farrell, Mercer County, authorities confirmed.

    Heard there were dead bass floating down stream with other fish.

    They said it was 90% water and 10% oil. It went thru a cleaning station before it went into the storm drain. Hopefully it wont be really hard to clean up. I haven't heard if it made it to new castle area yet.

    me being from new castle myself and a few friends investigated a few miles down river no dead fish, and they estimated it in the new castle news 14,000 gallons ill be night fishing in pulaski at a secret hole tonight ill report waht i see or catch

    Just outa curiousity what do you fish for in the Shenango between pulaski and the waterworks.  As a kid I fished for catfish and threw them back in.  Caught a few crappie and a bass one day at the waterworks oddly enough.
