1989 Lund 2450 Genmar HT

1989 Lund 2450 Genmar Hardtop
8' 6" beam
5.7 Mercruiser (came with V-6 we repowered with 260 horsepower V-8)
Loadrite roller trailer
Cockpit cover (works but will need replaced in a year or two
New transom
New floor (all flotation was removed and new flotation sprayed in)
New teak design marine vinyl flooring
New Hummingbird color sonar/gps with side imaging
New Icom VhF
New Extended range VHF antenna
2 New batteries
Porta potti
New Big Jon planer mast

We bought bthis boat and did all the work. Boat still needs some very small interior items finished. We have not installed seating on port side we use a cooler to sit on so it is more open for fishing room. Just purchased a larger boat with twin engines so this one has to go. All work finished in May 2010 and we have pictures to show what was done. We have not installed the door for the cabin or bathroom. We have everything that belongs on the boat if a person would wish to install it. We did not like the doors cause it was too hard getting in and out of cabin. I'm a big guy.

    Man Wayne, you have been buying up everything from Craigslist.  Saw that Lund on the Chatauqau CL and almost had my cousin make a run up to look at it but glad I didn't.  Sounds like it needed a lot of work.  Did you get the original seller down from the original list price?

    Not sure what he was originally asking for it. It did turn into a major project. I have pictures of everything we've done. I ran out of time in the spring and didn't put the rest of the interior together cause we started fishing in Port Clinton. One good thing about an aluminum boat once you get the wood and foam out of it, the rest of the bones are solid! There seemed to be thousands of screws we removed and replaced. Lund uses more screws in almost impossible places to get to than any other boat I've seen or worked on. They actually use bolts and nuts on most of the interior panels instead of sheet metal screws which come loose. I think we have over $300.00 in stainless screws on the boat. I'm going to add a couple pictures.

    Since I bought it I installed new flotation foam, New wood floor, New marine vinyl flooring, New wood on complete transom, 350 mercruiser engine, hummingbird sonar/gps ($1100.00), Icom VHF, Extended range heavy duty VHF antenna, 4 decent tires on the trailer, Big Jon planer mast, This boat is listed for less than I have in it. We are going to start putting the rest of the interior in it next week. All the rear cushions are nice and it looks good when there all installed. The only thing I don't want to put back in is the stove and port seating, It takes up way too much space. If we finish the boat 100% which is just cosmetic from here the price is going to be much higher. I have a shop lined up to paint the red and do the bottom paint over in the fall if I don't sell it. The boat I'm picking up tomorrow is a little wide to tow so I may actually keep the Lund.

    I just have two questions. How many boats did you buy and sell in the last year? How do you manage to do it and stay married?
