The glued ones worked ok for me but you need to get the hook point thru the piece of thread or whatever that holds the egg pattern together. I don't know if grazy glue just sticking to the loose yarn of the egg fly will hold.
The other way is like you used to string popcorn if you are an old timer. Take a length of heavy thread and attach a sewing needle by running the string thru the eye of the needle. Then poke the needle thru the egg pattern and just string them on.
String them up and leave some extra thread on the string of eggs. An extra inch or two of thread per egg should be plenty. Start at the beginning of the thread and tie it to the top of the hook shank. Slide your first egg pattern to the tying thread, then take your thread behind the egg and tie the thread down tightly again. Tie your tying thread off, cut the tying thread and move on to the next egg.
