Amish

Recently the PFBC caught a Amish man at Justus Lake with 41 Largemouth Bass on a stringer...and the following week, the man paid his fine in CASH

Just burns me to no end how they have no regard for the law..and I'm sure this wasnt the first time he has pulled this stunt, and I highly doubt he learned his lesson

It is not all Amish though some feel laws from the "English" (everyone else) don't apply to them. God's laws are all that matter. Careful not to offend the Amish or they might not use this site.

They won't be stopped until people approach the WCO's in numbers and voice serious complaints. Anglers at Wilhelm did that last year, and now the Amish up there are few and far between.

My wife told me that if I didn't stop fishing every day, she'd leave me. Some days, I really miss her.

One time I saw a man @the mouth of deer creek keeping short bass. I spoke up. He didn't speak english. I lied and said "I wouldn't usually say anything but my dad is a wco and he will be meeting me here shortly and for some reason he can find any hidden fish. Those fish will cost you a lot of money." Then a miracle happened and the man spoke english. "Too small?", he said and I nodded my head yes. He released the fish and each on swam away as if it hadn't even been out of the water.
Right on time however 2 wco's (1 male,1 female) showed up. I briefly spoke with the lady and 10 minutes later they were gone and the male wco and I hadn't even exchanged a greeting. The gentleman with the small fish I mentioned earlier came up to me and said "Thank you. Was that your dad?" I answered him "Yes... we don't talk much."

My family's camp is not far from the middle Allehgeny River and we have Amish friends who have done right by me and my family for the past 20 years. Above and beyond at times. It is hard to read about such an all inclusive view if a group of people in a negative light.
I've seen and talked to 3 different people who had over limits for trout this year who all drove pick ups but I'm not gonna' name my thread "pick up drivers" and say all who drive pickups keep too many fish. My Amish friends don't even fish- they really don't have the time with their farm.

For a man your age, you should be over playing the race card , get over it, I dont get mad and take my ball home when someone calls me Hitler, and my wife doesnt get p!ssed when she hears Polish jokes, but it seems you disappeared for awhile after someone hurt your feelings with words.  As for the Amish remarks , most are true, living for over 35 years with them as neighbors here in Crawford county, Im surprised there hasnt been worse said about them.  Go take your whiney a_$_$ back to another board wher you can play gestapo locking threads after 3 bumps. I also like what you said to Bings about refusing to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person, now that my friend, is the pot calling the kettle black

You wont hear me ever tell a polish joke nor would i call you or anybody else hitler. I'm not playing any race card. What are you thinking. Dont refer to me as gestapo either. I do my job thats asked of me over there. Read the rules and you shouldn't have a problem. Dont like me, too bad. Life comes and goes. Got a problem with me on the other site, talk to the new owners. Here, **** and moan and move on.

big trout, thats a falacy, like the rest of your post, maybe you should meet some, i have known them for 30 years, and some are killers, and some are better than the "english"...that post is down right ignorant..don't remark on amish in general if you have no experience with them, like some of us do..percentages say we english are greater law breakers than the amish, figure it out..read the wco reports in outdoor news, never see any bylers, millers, masts, getting arrested for poaching..just the good ole english people..clean up your act..some of them need to be fined and they do get it when they get caught, never heard of wco's letting them go because of "amish"..
