How do you like the showdown?  My plan is to have a flasher of some kind by the beginning of the year. Vex., marcum, showdown or what ever.

Im waiting as well but I have a new centerpin in the works so ice will have to wait till I'm done with that. As for the fishfinders I use the marcum x67c and absolutley love it. For 280 bucks you cant beat it.

Honestly, I love the showdown.......nice and simple to use...........it reads up and down, just like you are fishing.....the kids loved it too...........only one season of use on it..........can't wait for number two......it definately helps with the catch rate, no more wasting time in an empty hole.........then again, any of the fish finders will up your catch..........I like simple........so, I went with the showdown---

there wasn't a person I showed it to that wasn't impressed........there is a small vid on my website  using the showdown--nothing special, just video from a point and shoot camera..........go to my website and go to the videos page........or type Antietam Lake ice fishing in the google search engine

hey Pinner......I had my heart set on the X67C, then I saw the showdown....it just looked so simple........I've read it's a heck of a machine

Its a great machine but without the help I got from the guys on ice shanty I'd still be stuggling with. Once you get it set up its a good time. I almost bought the showdown only reason I didnt was because I couldnt find one and lucked out with cabelas having the lowrance.
