peace and quiet was all we got

was at lock 2 tonight for about 5 hrs had out fatheads worms gills and lures did not catch anything besides a dumb### carp i think i am done till the water cools down. the river is warmer than my swiming pool

    as long as you didnt get eaten alive by the skeeters it was a good night in my opinion... any time away from 'home' or work is a good night in my opinion

    darn it, what did you catch the carp on? we caught some catfish, nothing over 5 pounds though, wanted to catch a few carp but didnt get any

    we got 7 carp last night, started at 12am....caught all on cucumber chunks.....but 1....pineapple chunk....

    i think most the big carp...have seen all the ...corn...doughball...etc...they want to see for awhile....probably being caught so much...plus the heat....
    we switch to greens ....beans...even caught them on...peppers....on the bottom of a hair rig....even cheese...but its to hot for the cheese....

    i def agree bad day fishing better than good day working. but i still like the good days so i think my river fishing might be done for a little while till the water cools down a bit. i believe the girl at lock 3 bait and tackle told me the surface temp was 82.
