Blue Ridge Trout

I am sending this from The Wilds Christian Conference Center in Brevard, North Carolina. We brought our teens down here for a week and somehow my fly rod and vest made it into the trailer--imagine that. There is a mountain stream that runs through the camp and I had heard stories so I gave it a try. 5 fish in about fifteen minutes.





So...not too bad of a week. Today I only caught a chub and missed a really hard strike. The southern drawl "slurp" threw me off. It sounded more like "Suh-LURP-ah" Threw off my timing. Beastly hot down here. But the stream kept me cool.
