Strange catches

Was out on the creek today using a #7 shallow fat rap, caught 2 fish in an hour or so.#1-a beautiful 18" smallie,#2-an 8" chub!!!!For me thats a first I've never caught a chub an a rap before. The dang rap was almost half the size of the frigging chub,I've had smallies that size or smaller do that before but a chub!?!?
So what's some of the weird catches some of you have had?

Me and my buddies went out to canonsburg down at the spillway, he caught a bass that wasnt even three inches long. We weren't really sure how it fit the treble hook in it mouth. Ive also caught smallmouth on corn, not really sure why they went after it.

Heard tale of a guy catching an 'eye on corn too...
the more i think about it, the more I think it must have hit a small bait fish that was eating the corn & got the hook too.??

    weird indeed.

Maybe the weirdest I got was the first bowfin I ever caught....
Got it out of french creek when i was a teen & my gf (now wife) got one on while I was fighting mine....
that's right, double bowfin action! At 2am no less.
About the time we were pulling them both onto the bank, a flying squirrel took off out af a tree right beside us.
    T'was a night of firsts.

I caught a 14" chrome hubcap at Wilhelm last Saturday. Was crankin' under the 79N bridge. It smacked a Strike King Series 3, bleeding shad. Was released unharmed.

i took the ex out for some of her first carp action, she got snagged up as usual. she hands me the pole and with one little tug i got everything back with a wallet on the hook. 56 dollars and an altoona library card--no licens or address. needless to say i dried out the money and its long gone, and the ex was safetly released the next week!!!

Wife caught a 27 inch chain pickerel at Dumans Dam in Cambria County 2 years ago on March 31st on green powerbait. Had 2 lines in the water and landed her 3rd trout on 1 and while reeling the powerbait in to quit, the pickerel grabed the bait. It must have been spinning while she was reelin in.Got her picture in the Pa Fish and Boating mag with that catch. By far the largest pickerel I had ever seen...WF

I caught a rainbow trout on a 1/0 circle hook and chunk of chicken liver, at midnight a few years ago. That was pretty wierd.

I caught a 4 or 5" largemouth on a live cricket and while reeling it in a 12 or 14" largemouth rushed him, pushing the hook and cricket out the small fishes gill opening, hooking the larger fish. 2 for 1 and it was in front of 3 or 4 of my friends.

I almost forgot. I caught a large brown pelican off a pier in florida. I caught a little fish and used it as bait. The stupid bird dove into the water and ate my bait. I reeled it all the way to the dock untill it finally got off. I don't know what I was going to do if I got it all the way in. haha

i was night fishing about 2 weeks ago and i caught a bat.  the darn thing flew into my fishing line and got all tangled up.

a friend of mine caught a trout last year on fishing line, the fish wasnt hooked or even close to the hook, it somehow just got the line wrapped around itself.

I can remember way back when I was a kid fishing with my family at ole lake Joann. was playing around in the creek between the lakes and caught a big bull frog with a foot missing. Took it home and kept it alive for a few months.

Seagull on a 9" musky hunter jerkbait and crabs from a really hot ...... never mind the second was too traumatic to discuss, still....
