get on I-80 east get off at shippenville exit (route 66 north ) follow it clear through marienville , you will see a "Y" in the road in the allegheny national forest (route948) take the road to the right (948) to ridgway , when you come into the town of ridway u will see signs for 219 north at the far end of town , take route 219 north toward johnsonburg , when you come into johnsonburg u see the paper mill infront of you and a blinker light , at the blinker take a right then a left onto glenn hazel road , follow it to u come to a "T" in the road and take a left toward wilcox , follow it and u will cross a cement bridge which is the east branch below the catch and releas ffo section , stay on that road till u see a township sig for rt 358 on your right at the base of a hill on a left hand turn , take rt 358 go to the dead end at the dam and park , walk down in and it is the section below the dam and goes till you come to a cable downstream , take midges (drys & nymphs ) , size 16 tan cdc and elk hair caddis , streamers and regular nymphs , it is tough going because of the pressure , try to get there early before 5-6 guys go down through and spook em , water will be in the 50's so dress appropriately , if u fish evening after dark take a long sleeve shirt cause standing in that cold water and the sun goes down believe it or not it gets chilly , Good luck

The directions that troutslammer gave are to the fly project on the East Branch of the Clarion which is a rather small stream. Nice water and cold. You can go here to see the flow rate and temperature of the water. http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/uv?03027500

Also, while you're in that neck of the woods, there is trophy trout water between Johnsonburg and Ridgway. This is below where the East and West branches meet. The East Branch is much colder than the West. It is all tackle catch and release. Access is very limited...VERY limited. It's a jungle along the river and most of the land is posted. I'm really not sure how you'd even fish it unless you float it. I haven't put in the effort to figure it out. Kurt Thomas guides up there. I've never met him or used his guide service. http://www.clarionriveradventures.com/
