Gills for Bait ???

Used to catch more blue gills than I could use in one night in about 15 minutes at North Park Lake. Now that it is empty, does anyone know of a place in or near the city to catch em like that? Have a clear schedule tomorrow afternoon and night and was gonna try for some big cats.

Thanks

Panther Hollow Lake in Schenley Park. It has tons of little gills, and is about as "in the city" as it gets.

Need a heckuva lot more than 6. Using two rods, Figure a few, sometimes several snags a night if youre fishing in most good cat water. Once in a while casting one off. And thats not even counting when you catch fish or miss them and lose a gill.

Yea, I like to have at least a dozen per person, if those people are using 2 rods.  Nothing worse than setting out for a night of flathead fishing and running out of bait before midnight.  Sometimes you miss fish, sometimes snags, sometimes the gill just goes sailing off the hook froma bad cast, etc.

Now, if you're using cutbait for channels, you need less.
