Eaton Outing

Planning a trip to Eaton Reservoir this Sunday, wondering if anyone has been out lately, and how bad the weeds are?

Thanks!

Went out sunday night and didn't see a single fish caught.  The weeds didn't seem as bad this year as in years past. I only fished the side with the jetty type structure on it though.

I have never done well on that side. Seems to be a little more shallow over there? I catch most of my fish in there trolling crankbaits or worming for bass. Thanks for your update!

Im going on sunday also. I was there last saturday, pulled in some perch, and a largemouth. My buddy pulled in a pike. No boat so we land fish. There were six of us and some started crying about walking. Unfortunately the ones crying were the ones who bought the bait. So we ended up at the bay catching gobys. I was ****ed.

Anyway using north, south, east, and west, which side is it a little deeper if any? Something about the place I like.  Im pretty interested in catching some pike. I dont eat fish just love fishing.

Bing- 3&4 says walleye and crappie. Have you ever pulled a walleye out of there? I have never seen anyone do it, but I have only been fishing there the last few years.

Used to do quite well on the eyes early in the season...
Saw a dead 28" one day and we threw back a 25" we caught at night...
Pretty cool lake to fish at night, not a light in site,,,,,

Must say though we haven't caught any in the last few years...

Hey Bings I agree with you. That place has some nice fish but they can be hard to catch.
