Yellow Perch

Seems every time we go up to cross creek we catch this dinky 2-3" yellow perch. I assume most end up as food for the eyes out there. We figure there are some bigger ones out there but haven't seen/caught/heard of anyone catching any. Has anybody caught any keep sized yellow perch there or can somebody suggest a place that will have them in the area?
