I also have rods and equipment I can lend out...at least 3 or 4 extra rods.

I don't always snag fish, but when I do...
I choose Little Cleos

I'm the best looking smartest snagging poacher alive...

it is really free?

if so it is touching it really is, that someone whom is fully equipped would be willing to take newby's out on the lake for eyes and perch.   I don't know that I can make it, but I'm still gigging out. & since we're talking about it... not that I'm trying to be awkward or anything- Why? isn't a drive out on the big lake for a morning catching eyes worth a couple hundred dollars??

I guess I'm thinking of dream catcher specifically since I knew he is a charter boat (certified fishing guide).

... but if I'm missing something (like the customary charge of $400/ # passengers), I'd better know that now B4 I ask for permission

anyways, I reread everything & If I can make it , I will.  Its really generous!

Lol, I wouldn't say it's totally free....We are asking everyone to chip in to the captains for bait and gas, but no, it's not going to cost $400...

And yes, generally if you are chartering, it's a few hundred just for a half day fishing...These great people offer a seat and the best thing we can do in return in buy the bait and help with the fuel bill.....

Let me know if you get permission...

thanks!

just to be upfront.  how much does bait & gas take?  my thought was $40-50, depending on whether you can bring your own rods & whether you come with a kid.

anyways, its a good idea to bring up anything that you think would make the trip more enjoyable for everyone... do you want us to bring maybe a soda or chips for the lunch?

its really nice for people to offer a seat.  Thanx!   I think this would EXACTLY be the kind of trip to take your kid.  get him/her hooked on fishing.  Hats off to the captains.

That should be plenty enough to cover expenses. Depending on how many people are on the boat, plan is to split equally between passengers.

Once we have details about the picnic set, we can have a food list and everyone can chip in there.

The 31st is bad for me but I may be able to make it. So I am not ready to take passengers, really hoping to make it.

Better too far back, than too far forward.

maybe brother-in-law. maybe.

but I'm firm (he's not). I've always wanted to do this, but could never find 200$ in spare change.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

as far as smoking/drinking.  I don't do either, but don't mind either.  on the contrary, lets relax and enjoy ourselves!

interested is an understatement.  Thankx!

Nope I stand corrected, We all talked about it and my daughter is coming.  She'll be sleepy, but let the lake air on the boat wake her up.  Dad and one groggy 10 year old girl will be there at 5:30am.

We're with fisherlady?  fantastic.

... the brother in law is working, so he's a no.

I talked to Jim the owner of Follies End campground today . He reserved the pavillion for us on Saturday July 31st from 12 noon until 6 PM for free . It can accommodate 36 people if we have more than that we will need to bring tables / chairs .

I reserved myself a tent spot at follies for that night . Please consider staying at follies for this event . Be sure to thank Jim for his generousity !Thanks Jim ! I also thanked him for allowing the one fly again this year ....

I still have room for 1 more, if you dare to wanna fish with Mr. Slickperch and ViolentEye. Actually think we're gonna setup for Eyes for a couple hours first thing in the morning, than Perch fish for the rest of the time. Oh, almost forgot. We Smoke like the capt. of the Wizard. We pee in a bucket. Got NO shade ( bimini cover is a mess ).

Okay, looks like we only have a few open seats left unless Musky and Lureloser confirm that they can make it.

As DC said, we have the pavillion at Follies booked, a big thanks to Jim at follies. So we will plan on cleaning fish and having a picnic there after our outing.

We need to get a food list going. We will need drinks, chips, buns, some kind of salad, mac salad or potato salad, maybe some desserts. If any of the kids don't want fish, I can bring my grill and we can cook hotdogs or something for them.

Myself, Kingnuke and DC will take care of the fish. Batter, oil, cookers and propane.

PM me or post on the thread with what you would like to bring.
