Cloe, Kyle, Kahle

Probably best to sum up in 1 post, but has anyone fished at any of these lakes? Girlfriend is interested in all of them and any info would be great seeing as Pymie is off the weekend board till they figgure out what's going on... But any info is welcome... How's the shorefishing and are the spillway/outflows accessable and such. Thanks.

I live near Cloe Lake, its a lake that is very accessible from shore. The half of the lake on the side you park on is mowed around. Trout fishing might be kinda tough with the heat, but bass can be caught from shore just about anywhere on the lake. If you fish across from the parking area on the wooded side of the lake I would recommend waders, it is swampy in places but shallow and can be waded easily. Overall, the quality of fish aren't that great from my experiences, but its a nice place to relax and catch a few.

Size isn't a major thing for me, I mainly throw 4lb line and UL tackle maybe jump to 8 if I go to jerkbaits/topwaters/shallow cranks. And I don't like trout fishing haha... Thanks for all the info.

i fish cloe and kahle a few times a year each. cloe is okay..has a nice pier to fish from but like jstrats said the average size isnt too good. Kahle is very good at times and you always have a chance at a hog or three. Shoreline access is good at both but i think you'll have access to more spots at kahle, mostly cuz its 10 times the size of cloe, which is more of a big pond.

Well we went to cloe and Straight Run on saturday and caught about a dozen fish at Cloe most smaller bass like 7-10" range and a few panfish... Then at straight run we caught some hog gills probably a good 1lb or so and my gf caught probably a 2 pound Largemouth.
