All I can say is ask a stupid question in a stupid way and you will get a smart aleckie answer. It will of course be a correct answer to the question YOU asked. since you choose to respond as you did NO INFO FOR YOU!

    SS-

WB is not an****but, like the person asked if he has a watch by someone who wants to know the time, who answers yes he has a watch, he replied directly to the question.  Had you asked "What's going on down at the Genny?" he may have given you a fair evaluation, but perhaps not. Personally, reading many of the posts on this board lately, we're all a bunch of asses, but some have more board bias leveled at them than others.

Now, what I know without taking the drive and walk is that there was a fair run of Cohos in late September, and Kings are showing up in good numbers now.  There's a few chrome mixed in but they haven't been hitting well.  The Seth Green side is open, but cut off at the old road at the bottom of the hill, so wear your waders, and go down and fish on the shoulders of all the guys at Seth Green Island, which should have a great flow even though the river is only 400+ cfs, cause the Lake is lower than its been since 1928.  AS inferred by others, Rochester has crime problems, and its always good to either have friends (WB or Smith and Wesson) with you or just watch where you are and what's going on around you. As I have pointed out on this board in the past, a Spey rod could be a formidable weapon.  But also don't leave your car unlocked anywhere in NY, no matter how rural.

If an****is a beast of burden that gets your work done for you, well, looking at the majority of WB's (and my own, if I can toot my own horn) posts about the Genny and other NYS waters over the past years, we've been getting it done for you and many others, Now, what does that make you, Wooly Bugger?

Gee you can say****here? 13's run down was a pretty good bit of info on the big G. To bad that as he said he hasn't been down in the gorge yet himself so while accurate it is hardly up to date. Maybe if instead of being a**** because you don't know the difference between the meaning of can and will (something I believe was covered around here in first grade) you would have taken what I wrote as a joke and retyped your question using better English, you would have found out what happened on last Sun or even what happens today after I climb back out.     I MAY BE AN****BUT I HAD THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTIONS, BOTH THE ONE YOU ASKED AND THE ONE YOU SHOULD HAVE ASKED. I still do but will leave it as having answered your first questiojn correctly and not wanting to be called names by you anymore keep the second to myself.

My last post on this thread..

I appreciate the people who take time to share info here via unsolicited fishing reports and by answering questions like mine. So thanks Lucky13 for the info above. I do the same when I have something to share.

WB, this is the last place I expected a 'save the English language' crusader to take issue with my use of 'can' instead of 'will'. Apparently you don't see a place for colloquial grammar on these forums. Different strokes, we all have our standards. You didn't actually call me stupid either, just the question and the way I asked it, but it sure felt like you were calling me stupid.

As for the definition of****. the one I was thinking of was more like 'horse's****.'.. which you can check out in Urban Dictionary.. [link=http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=horse%27s****http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=horse%27s****/link]

But if you want to be a stickler for language, then perhaps 'pendantic and argumentative' would have been more accurate.

Wasn't my reponse you reference after your sarcastic "you should be in LA" post. It seems to follow it on the boards here. So yes I RESPONDED TO YOU with sarcasm. If you didn't take yourself so seriously you might have answered in a funny way instead how you did. Unless you are the chosen one to keep all humor from these boards. It was a joke and you decided rather than treat it as such to make a big deal of it. So be it. I have nothing to gain from a Steelie Student any ways. I lose nothing in this. By the way as I write this I have just climbed out of the gorge and have the freshest first hand info on the water you wanted to know about. Bye bye!

Student how many steelhead have you caught in your life? How many days have you fished the Genny? I will ask 13 to venture a guess as to whether I have landed closer to 1, 10, 100, 1000 or more since 1976. IT WAS YOU THAT CAME WANTING TO BE SPOON FED.
Poor poor Steelie Student. Is the big kid picking on you again, maybe you can have your mother talk to his mother.

    WB-
    1  day
    10 week
    100 year
    1000+++ since 76

Took the walk Saturday PM, water cloudy even though pretty low, a lot a sAMen's around, one pull on a glo bug for 2.5 hours.  I know I was in the right place because of the Christmas decorations, but the fish must have gone to see Youngguru up in the falls.

Lighten up, there was almost noone down there except in the falls, taje the walk and work out your energy that way!

Down below the little rock about 8 feet from the bank? Niagera gold g gugs? Triple pink bunny tail estaz fly tied like S O H? 2 there the first day in a couple hours. 4 the second time down in. Lots of sAMens includind tons of 3-5 pound cohos but I never touched any of those. Zambo had 1 foul king drifting with a spinning rod that was all the king action I saw. Real tight jawed this year.
Might go down Thurs but am yhinking the SR for the day. Down where you threarened to gut me if you had to carry me out after breaking my ankle.

Charlie your day sounds more like my day yesterday than my days last week. Fished for a little over 2 hours for 1 male king. You know the end is near when a 20ish pounder can't turn and go out of the hole when he starts under the willow. There were still some brightish little coho around but couldn't get them to play. Water was up 18 inches or so and I was hoping for some movement but it didn't seem like any steel was sucked in yet. 4 CPers on the west side didn't touch a fish while I was there. Always next time.

I here stories about vehicles being commonly broken into on the Genny. Is it really that bad? Or is it only certain places on the river?

There is little room on the Genny. While its a big river the bank fishable water is not vary long. Where the fishing takes place is in the heart of the GOLDEN TRIANGLE OF CRIME as it is called by the police. They have done much to improve the safety of cars, taking out shrubs where people hid, enlarging the parking area, and right now with the work project going on there is a security guard within sight of the lot on the east side 24-7.

Well its picked up dramaticly over the last week or so. Had a friend PM me that it had turned on but working 9 straight I couldn't get down til Tues. A friend and I fished from around 8/30 til 11/30. He picked up 3 on sacs while booting a few more. I ended with 2 landed swinging with the spey rod and dropped another 90 degree indie fishing. Another friend hooked up on a bag as I walked by to my spot. Said he had only been there 15 min or so. Saw about another 6-7 hook ups (probably a lot we didn't notice) from the other anglers we could see. They mostly had pins and I couldn't see if they were tossing bags or jigs.
Sprained my ankle at work yesterday but can't stop myself from going again today even though it will limit my mobility.

Well my stinky fingered buddy (fishing eggs) outproduced me again today. Fishing from about 8 til noon I landed 2 and booted three more on the spey rod. Him and his sacs landed 3 but had on about a half dozen more. Another guy we know was there and hooked 3 landing 1 and his father put the only fish he hooked on the bank. They werte dragging bags also. So that was 7 landed and 11 more that handed our butts to us in about 4 hours.
