the butler musky show is not a real big show compared to some..its held at the butler highschool . there will be alot of venders there , lure makers and distribiters. you can buy alot of lures and local to our area lures they will all be there and some big names in the musky world like howard wagner and there will be seminars. you can get good deals on lures like i had a guy build me some double 10's there for 10 bucks a peice 2 yrs ago. you could probably even book ur canada fishin trip there. most of the musky anglers in the area will be there, i know myself and mj and his brother are riding up together on sunday being we are all off work that day.

I don't know about you guys but I already have more lures than I will ever use but I just can't hepl but buying more especially custom color you can find at the shows. But its like I tell my brother who also musky fishes you can't have enough

Somewhere around 400 musky lures alone and over a dozen rods and reels just for musky. I've found my limit. Time for a few to start moving on down the trail. I think if i kept 50 i still wouldnt use all of them in the same year.

you can start with moving that shallow invader i see hanging on that board my way. lol. yea joel id say you found the limit there buddy. i have certain lures that i like and that produce for me and i just try to keep 4 or so of each kind, and every year i will experiment with somethin new, this yr its gonna be the nokkens and tuff shads i allready know the tuff shads are proven but is new to me. i am a big jake fan so i do have many of them, ive havnt counted mine in long time but i estimate somewhere in the neighborhood of 150 to 200 and alot of those are back up lures lot of same thing but different colors.

I don't have any idea how many lure I have but last spring I counted I had around 175 and that was before I started making my own bucktail and this year I started making my own twitchbaits plus I bought a bunch with christmas gift cards I would have to say I have around 300 need to get rid of about half of them don't have no room for them all MM I will bring some of my twitch baits over tonight for you to drool over lol I haven't forgot about your request for a walleye colored double cowgirl either I have just been too caught up in making crankbaits and twitch baits maybe you can be one of the junky lures field tester lol see ya later

Yes I think there is enough interest for a Musky site. Topics could be river fishing, lake fishing, trolling or casting, hot baits.

Right now I'm looking at some software options... Does anyone do any custom work i.e. lure building or guide work or anything that might be marketable on a musky site?
I think I'll add a picture/video section, a tackle classified, boat classified, General Discussion, Custom Lure Building, and a few other ideas. Suggestions welcome...
I don't think that I want to make this a local site. Honestly, the Musky community is pretty limited in terms of geography anyway... I'm going to say that anyone, anywhere is more than welcome.
Throw me some ideas...

musky junky builds lures and will guide a little..i take people out and dont charge top dollar, you have to have a guide permit and have insurances to get permit. and i work at the post office so dont really have time to do the full blown guide thing so i do what u would call a under the table thing so i dont advertise.

What is everyone's favorite lure one for casting a one for trolling. For me I would have to say a crane 207 and for trolling it would have to be a 8 inch jake but that may change this year cause I bought some wileys this off season what's everyone else's favorites

For trolling it is a Wiley Head Shaker and casting it is Eagle Tail Bucktail.

ohh gee mj...thats hard i have a select few that are my favorite if i had to say one id have to go with the 8in jake for trolling apps, and you know i was gonna say that.. anxious this yr i really like this giant storm flatstick looks like a jake but louder and doesnt dive as deep.. as far as casting its a tie...between a mj version of a double showgirl and bulldogs. i do have some different trolling lures im breakin out this yr some specificlly for the lakes.
