kwikfish

I just bought a box of about 40 kwikfish jointed plugs and about half are the k18-j models and they are about 8 or 9 inches long. These are new old stock with beat up boxes and most of the plugs are in new shape but some of the chrome plated ones appear to be losing their finish in spots.

Does anyone know if these large size ones are a decent plug for pike/muskies or are they more for the salmon crowd out west? I'm assuming they are more of a trolling lure than casting lure?

Any help/info would be appreciated. Thanks.

My reply is a little late but I wouldn't attempt anything larger than K16 (which are about 6" long) on salmon.   I personally think K13 or K13X are ideal for chinook.   K12 and smaller for steelhead and lake trout and brown trout and cohos.   Your bigger lures would probably work on muskie.

and some of them don't even know that they're dead.......and some of them can't grasp the fact that they're on ignore.
