Where to Stay

I know I am going to get beat up pretty good on this one but I just had to ask. I am looking for place to stay the last weekend of the month and dont want to spend more then 100 a night on a place. I am open to any suggestions or places to stay away from. I used to have a different Name on here "ham&egger" but cant use it. I just dont want to end up in a poop hole. Oh and prefer something closer to the westside creeks. Thanks in advance...

Green Roof Inn is $55/night. It's decent...not a Holiday Inn or anything. But it's clean.

El Patio is horrible.  Real Crap hole,  Stay at the Preque Isle Inn across the street from El Patio, tell them you there to fish.  Under 5o per nite for clean sheets and clean rooms.

I like the Green Roof Inn a lot.  Nice people and nice room, good fish cleaning station, and the drive isn't bad.

The Golden Triangle is nice and clean for $45 a night.
The Presque Isle Country Inn on Sterretania Rd, near Hills Family Campground, (it used to be a Best Western but recently changed) is clean, I think it's $59.95 a night, tell them you're fishing and you save $5, plus you get a free breakfast, and it's a real breakfast, not just coffee and bagels.
(also right off of I90 and close to Elk)

We stayed at El Patio once, and the Presque Isle Inn once, while they both offer a fisherman discount, I didn't think either one was very clean. And the bar patrons at the El Patio make it difficult to find a place to park.

I used to think the El Patio was an okay place to stay, but this summer a stayed there and had a room that had black mold on the ceiling. Talk about gross out. I'm looking for another place during steelhead season.

    fedex123,
If you want something much more upscale I would like to recommend the Marriott Residence on Peach street.  This place is fantastic! ! !  Plenty of room, some of the rooms have whirlpool tubs, some have shower massages, there is an indoor pool, the breakfast is great and the staff wil go to great lengths to make sure you are happy.
It is quite expensive (100+/nite) but you get what you pay for.  My friends and I go there and no one has ever be unhappy with the service.  No cleaning fish in the rooms though, or on the property.
One place I would NOT recommend is the Marriott Courtyard.  Even more expensive, and a lot less nice, but there is a bar in the lobby.
The Presque Isle Country Inn on Sterrettania Is very good, and clean but if they have a band at the bar, or if there is a convention there, it can get a little bit LOUD.
There is a B&B in Girard that is very nice but I forget the name right now.  It's on main street and very close to Elk.

I always stay at the Glass House Inn on Rt 20, like a mile off of Rt 79. It's $73 a night this year and the service and rooms are always excellent. Last year we had a pile of wet fleece and they threw it all in the washer and dryer for us and when we got back from dinner it was folded neatly on the bed. They're very nice people.
