WTF Really ?
About 5 months ago I said for my new years resolution I would do more fishing to regain my sanity. Well it now seems that has backfired with a vengeance. For a month now its been crappy,windy,rainny,and all around sucky weather on my days off from work. (sundays) Im not one to **** and moan (that much) but fishing is my release from stress and if the weather does not cooperate soon I think Im going to blowup. It looks like tomorrow is going to be a wash out again.  I know there is lots of summer ahead to go fishing but if it doesnt get here soon Im affearred Im not going to make it. Anyone out there feel this way or am I the only one?

I have Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays to fish all I want...With occasional days off when I'm ahead in work.

I wish I had more "time" to go but work has me consumed and at the end of the day Im **** near spent. A couple of times ive gone just to sit near the water and wet a line even though I know there aint nuttin there to stretch it.

Deetz, I feel your frustration... I am at work right now (usually a 24hr shift every other weekend) and by the time I get done in the morning I'll barely be able to see straight let alone cast straight for a few hours!! Last year the weather didn't cooperate with my weekends off at all... so this year using vacation time give me more time off on weekends and hopefully will be able to hit more decent ones for weather!
I can't complain too loudly though... as frustrating as it can be sometimes I am still working and many aren't as lucky....

Deetzy buddy - Man can I relate to ya!!!!! It's been three weeks for me now since I've been out and I feel like I've been goin thru withdrawal. Like you mentioned - that too was one of my resolutions - to spend more time on da cricks but so far it just hasn't happened - not really because of weather though - because there's just so d**n much to do around here on weekends. I even bought a Maryland freshwater license so I could fish the Gunpowder (hear there's some great bug action there - but have yet to get down to fish it. The Oil Crick outing was one that I reeeaaaalllly wanted to get to but that's not gonna happen this year either. What gets me most-------life is just too short to let time spent on the water pass by. I just gotta re-adjust my priorities and relist fishing up near the top. Just keep thinkin of next weekend at the Oil.....Man, I'll be thinkin of ya ---- and all the others. Hope those flies work for ya!

You know whats worse then not being able to fish. I'll tell you what happened to me last weekend I had a two hour window to fish sunday morning but I had to take my 2 kids, no biggie, what ****** me off was I take my two boys to the lake to fish for smallies and some ahole walks and stands right in front of me and my two boys at the shoot to 16 mile. He caught at least 5 fish in 10 min which were the fish my boys were suppose to get. So it seems when I get to go fishing I cant even fish cause there are more aholes around now then ever. If it happens again I'm getting my chestwaders on and standing infront of this moron and maybe just for giggles I'll cast back at him.

Maybe this will brighten the day of you guys, who melt in the rain After checking the board 2 or 3 times today....with nothing good to read...except the "melting man" post  I put my boots on. Found this little guy in a flooded area....figure his home was flooded...he looked pretty lost.  He was too small and cute to eat, I couldn't find the mamma. I felt bad for the scared little guy...thought I'd give him some help......... so.......... I hooked him to my cleo...."relocated" him at 60 mph with a whip of the ugly stick.....and it paid off!   The moral to my story is.....even when It's windy and blowin....hook on a baby bunny, and go fish.
