GROUND BLINDS

We got busted by mr. longdong 2day in we were in a blind.I been doing some reading they say to wear black in a blind.I have the predator den it's a nice blind.I was wondering if anybody has used or owns the primos dark horse? If so how does it work?I was making a loop on a bird today on my way back i can see my daughter waving at me through the mesh at like 40 or 50 yards.Should we be wearing gloves and a mask while hunting in a blind?$hit last week we had 2 longdongs walk right up to us no gloves no masks on.I'm still wondering why this bird spook.

well first of all, i wouldnt be walkin around while im turkey hunting, just let it happen. see if anything gobbles and go from there. but **** thats a problem, being able to see through the mesh. take it back haha. i'd try the all black idea and see if that works, i mean arent u blending in withthe background when you wear camo in the woods...

i got a double bull blind... I wear regular camo and make sure the back of the blind in all closed up and black. keep the front netting down and crackd and havent had a problem yet.... you still have to keep movement to the minimum...

You simply need to make sure there's no light on the back side.  Keep windows covered except where your intended view is.  I try to wear black as an outer layer as much as possible but camo is fine too as long as you keep inside dark.  Depending on blind set up you need to be careful about crossing plane while leaning forward between two open windows.  For turkeys you shouldn't even need the screens.  Deer don't like the "black hole" without the screens but the turks don't care.  Never been busted by a turkey while in a blind by following these rules.

I stood up to strech this morning in my blind, I sit back down and glance right, 2 jakes 15 yds away. I had the side openings covered with the camo mesh, they never saw me. They must have been just inside the woods when I stood up, I was on a field edge.

I usually don't hunt from a blind but was happy to have it this morning with the rain.

The jakes never knew I was there, that was my point, didn't do too well getting that across.

They just fed around my blind for 30 minutes then walked back into the woods.
