Been hearing birds in a couple places, having a hard time deciding which one to go after.
Hope I decide on the bigger one, been so busy at work not sure how much I will get out so if a nice one gives me a shot don't think it will make it past me.

    Good luck and be safe.

Yep, pretty pumped up. Same boat, not sure which one to go after. Should be able to roost one tonight, but if he's not there I'm heading to my other spot first thing.

Either way, I hope he hurries up about it.....got walleye to catch!

    This is my favorite weekend.

+1 on the good luck & be safe!

This past week went to local farm to check out the big birds. By 8:30am there were 5 hens and 8 red heads struting around the field in front of me. Four were young birds, could barely see their beard(stubs) sticking out their chests. Other four were decent birds(6-8 inch beards). Did not go out this morning - with the rain expected I decided to work on my 3000 sg. feet of garden and get a few things planted. Retired and will have many opportunities to chase them later this month.

went out , no shots , but this was the first year i hunted without my dad , and gotta say i couldnt have been happier when i called in birds this morning , some kind of self accomplishment there . My buddy couldnt get a shot on the long bird i called in , worked him for a while , finally after attacking the hen for a while i got her to come in and there he was behind her . good morning , cant wait to get out again , i seriously think i could give up deer hunting as long as i turkey hunt
