168 CFS @ Pineville as I write this.
I wish they would blow out.

Salmo, I see the USGS has 168 cfs @ pineville, but DSR reports 100 cfs...  Is that right or is the DSR web person just too lazy to change it????

I have the right to remain silent.....I just don't have the ability

DSR does not have a guage. They post what waterline posts they are holding the river at.
USGS has a guage and it updates on line every so often (4 hours I think).
The USGS guage is in Pineville and the extra flows you see there are from runoff and water coming into the river from other springs and small tribs..
    Hope this helps.

Could it be that DSR uses the data provided be the people running the dam while the USGA data has the water added by Orwell dreek and other run off added in since its gauge is farther downstream. Why does it have to be that someone is too lazy? Were you too lazy to think of another reason?

When your lazy yourself it is nicer to call someone else lazy for a change.

Playin Its Tippy so from looking at the pictures hes so stoned most of the time he will not even know we're picking on him. Or he has to sneeze again and is going to be real mad.
PS-I find it hard to believe someone with Tippy's wide ranging long time knowledge base(both here at the SR and all the Eire tribs) didn't know that already.

I'm hearing from alot of professional fishermen that this warm weather we've been experiencing ,especially with low stream flow levels, will setback the fish till at least end of oct to even mid november. Sure you may get some wet spells and some fish will run, especially those smaller tribs.. but if the water temp. is too warm and more importantly low due to lack of water in the res as it is, I'm willing to bet later rather sooner for this season. Hey! if I were 50 miles instead of 300 miles away,I might be inclined to indulge a few of those sporadic runs like so many here. But realistically, traveling 300 miles each way for a day or two  is what we call a suicide run. As for the muddy trails and overcrowds, pulaski SR isn't exactly relaxing enough me unless of coarse some new reports and pics can prove otherwise.

fished burt for a couple hours amongst 500 other guys. saw 2 fish hooked by the same guy, thats it.
headed over to oak and found 600 guys fishing and actually hooked one myself, saw 4 hooked there including mine.
the dam at oak had about 200 fish with guys shoulder to shoulder ripping 20 lb line over their backs. was a complete zoo as usual. did anyone see those guys fist fighting over a spot? like I said, what a zoo.

ive never seen this few fish on Oct 13th in 16 years fishing these waters. I cant see it getting any better. even if we get rain, it may be too late for the salmon. I heard fish being caught in the lake are spawning already. neve heard of that before.
