ON FIRE!
Just when I think the fishing in Erie can't get better....it does...every day of every year that passes. I freekin' love this place....and I'm on fire! Today was a pretty special outing for me. I got my boy out with me, I got my brother out with me (who doesn't fish much), and of course my good friend BloodyHand. With a handpicked crew like this...the fish didn't stand a chance. Beginner luck mojo is pouring off these newbs. I didn't get picks of all the fish..got the important ones. We all caught fish...plenty of em too. Enjoy.... My kid and his uncle....huntin em down  My brother ...with his first bass of the day...he beached a few more. Good day for him.  Lil Slick figures he knows a better spot  Turns out he does....what do ya know about this? Only my kid could pull this off. He's got the "ugly lover" in him. Definately my kid.  One just for the fish Erie guys:  O man....I cant tell ya how proud I was/am. That fish absolutely DESTROYED his spoon...20 feet in front of him....blew ouuta the water 2ft after it...created quite the commotion. From cast to release...he did it on his own. His first question after his hero shot was "Are you gonna post it on FishErie for the guys to see Dad?" I replied "Of course I will son". He asks to not be reffered to as Lil Slick anymore...He wants me to reffer to him as Violent Pike. I LOVE IT! After our big thrill..man I felt great. We all caught fish, and MY BOY whacked his first toothy critter. Doesn't get much better than this....or does it? Violent Pike blows up the hole again...MY BOY IS ON FIRE!  Released....  Not more than a few minutes later...I whacked one...I can't say it enuff... I love it here.....   While I'm gettin my pic...Bloody pics up my rig (unbeknownst to me) and starts fishin it...within two casts HE SMASHES a solid pike. The pic blurred bad...sorry bud. I'm your witness. Truly a special day on the water with family and friends. I'll remember it forever. Thanks for fishin with me. O wait I forgot one....how do ya like me now? The fish wasn't happy bout the pic..almost didn't get one. For the record, my blood..not his.

Slick, those are awesome. My buddy just sent me a pic of the monster northern he got tonight in the same vacinity. Not sure if you noticed him there. He was using a fly rod.

Thanks guys. Surely one of my most memorable trips. Even though I whacked one of my biggest, meanest pike to date...In my mind, it's WAY overshadowed by the one's my kid whacked...those are the feesh I'll remember. Way to go VP.....hope you can get out there with me again soon! Good thing you got a pike...I'd hate to call ya Stinkin' Carp....or Ugly Sheephead . Love ya Bud!
