Walnut
Anybody know when the docks will be in at Walnut? We're hitting the lake for the shake down cruise on my uncles boat tomorrow, just trying to figure a launch site.

Thanks Nuke, I'm pretty pumped about getting out. Lots of toys to play with on his new rig. Kind of curious to see how the radar works plus he's got some fancy Garmin sonar units that look pretty interesting. This will be the first time he's had it in the water since buying it last fall and the weather looks good for tomorrow so far. Maybe we can even find a couple perch.

Ooo, hadn't thought about lakers, this could be interesting. Any more info on them? Believe me, I'm paying in advance for taking a day off , I'm not used to gettin' my hands dirty anymore...

Launched at PI and went for a little ride, perfect weather and water... This boat is SWEET, ran it up to 48 mph on the gps and it wasn't tapped out yet . Ran out a couple miles and checked everything out. There was a drain petcock that was broken last fall that a mechanic was supposed to fix this spring. "Supposed" being the operative word. So after a 40 minute boat ride we loaded her back up and headed home. I got it fixed for him at his place, took about 20 minutes. Why is it so hard to find a quality marine mechanic

"That the 252? Does it have the big Volvo in it?" Yep, the 252. It's got the 5.7 Mercruiser with the dual prop bravo drive. This thing is smooth as silk, jumps on plane and cruises at 28-30 at 3,200 rpm. I will have one some day...

Does that dual prop bravo drive run basically the same as the volvo duoprop. Prob 2 more years for my 252 and am seriously considering the inboard for the room it opens in the back of the boat. I really like my VP and duoprop though.

Pretty sure it's basically the same, two counter rotating props. $1,500 for a set of SS props, so be careful in the shallows I'm really leaning towards the 261 I really like my walk around, much more useful space for perchin'. I would love to go to the 272, but trailering issues would be a bear.
