Minnie Casting

Say you are using a small parachute minnow seine and are trying to catch bait.

I know that the limit is 50

But what if you pull in your seine and there are 70 minnows in it and while you are counting out 50 into your bucket, a commission guy comes over.

At that exact moment, technically you have 70 in your possession. Are you unlawful? Can you be fined?

Not really - nobody takes you seriously anyhow.

But it really does suck when id10ts bring it in up in the wrong forum and bother the fishing boards. Know what I'm sayin? In fact I think it's against the Fish Erie Forum's POLICY if I'm not mistaken. That's why the admins made an Off-Top Discussion forum.

How bout if you don't remove your post and the picture of your boyfriend, I email a mod to remove it for you? maybe they let you off with a warning...they are usually pretty cool dudes if you follow the rules and policy. And they are all expert fisherman.

    how does that sound?

    hehe, thanks!

    luv ya brah

I never worried about it. You are allowed to have your limit of fish on a stringer and still fish as long as you released what ever you caught extra.

That was my thought on the subject. You'd have to find a real winner of a WCO to even pursue it.

If I did get pinched for something like that....o man...wouldn't bode well for me or the WCO. At least I'd have a shiny badge to make spoons out of.

i think my uncle actually got caught with this happening, but they didnt do anything about it.  pretty sure they gave him a warning that he could only have 50 but didnt fine him.  they guy was being a very big ****head about it also...

unless someone had a personal vendetta against you or just having a bad day and want to take it out on someone, i can't see why they wouldnt let you go just because of the situation (70 in the net and not the bucket).

now if you had 70 in your bucket, then i would expect a fine.

If the world needed and enema, they'd put the tube in Philadelphia. Go Pens!
