    thanks.they had a blast.
im so proud of the boys, over an hour wait(arrived at the hole at 6:48am) in the cold and i didnt hear one complaint from either one of them. 2(almost 3) and 4 year olds usually arent very patient but they trusted us that it was going to be worth it and it was! it was the greatest trout fishing ive ever been a part of.

both of the "whoppers" are going on the wall of the camp.

everyone feel free to post your pics here too. i havent seen any in the other threads.

Fantastic!!! Nice job DAD!! I remember those days....

I dont have any pics but I do have a story.

Yesterday, 4-19, I took to 2 older ones down the creek. We are only a few minutes away from Papermill Bridge so as soon as I got home from work, we left. Got there about 630 and started. I put a power bait out for the girls and I did a little driftin with the flyrod. Their rod starts to bounce, dad with the swing and a miss. Drat! That was a trout. So I re-bait em up and they were fishin again. I get back to fishin and on about the 4th drift I hook somethin. I knew it wasnt a trout but hey it was a fish. Sydney was closest to me so she got to reel em in. Little chub but as I said, it was a fish. Now it's Nat's turn. Driftin and driftin, nuthin'! No more strikes on that power bait either. By now it's gettin dark and cold. They both had to get bathed and to bed for school the next morning. Nat just didnt want to leave until she caught sumthin. So there I go changin', driftin', changin' again..........NUTHIN. By this time she is almost full blown cryin'. At only 5, I guess you can expect that. She didnt want to leave. If Sydney caught a fish, by golly she should get to catch one too. By now we got like 5 minutes of daylight left. They are both muddy, wet and freezin cold. Ok time to go for real. Just then I heard something at the time was music to my ears, the jingle of a chain stringer. I looked a few yards upstream and noticed a gentleman gonna clean this 1 trout he had. JACKPOT! Told him the situation. He looked over at the "wounded soul", smiled and handed me that trout. I hooked it in the mouth and tossed it in. Mind you this trout was stiff as a board. I peeled out line as I walked back down to the girls. I handed Nat the rod...... "Daddy I think there is something on here", her eyes lit up! She pulled em in. They were so happy. Even Syd was happy for her sister's fortune. "WOW Nat you caught a way bigger fish than me" I told them to ask the nice man if he wanted the trout to eat. Considering it was his trout, ofcourse they didnt know that. I must've thanked him 100 times. So over breakfest this morning they both re-hashed their fishing "trip" story to their mother. Covering every detail of the epic battle that took place.

Take a kid fishin and they wont be the only one with the life long memory.

Over the weekend I had the assistance of Jokerball & Rookie to put the little guy on some fish . Hunter wants to thanks you for the new feeshin pole . Here's his first fish of many to come a couple Rainbows and a bluegill . The bluegill stabbed him as he grabbed it and he pouted that he could not injure it prior to release LMAO . Thanks for the help with him Joker / Rookie . My 2 YO is trouble but he managed to only wade in to his ankles I was expecting much worse .
