"First Take"

Accepted a new position at work this week and the wife gave me the OK to go out and reward myself. Came home with this one and took it for a spin this morning.  Had to adjust the stroke a bit - but I got onto it after slowing it down......alot! I think I found a favorite amongst the others stacked in the corner...

Could feel every quiver on the rod's first take.

Kind of scary...KJ - you interested? PM me and I'll tell you where-

Went with the Cortland 444 Classic Clear Creek. Thing I gotta get used to is the dark green color - hard to see but then I kind of got this for picky eaters so the color shouldn't spook 'em as much. I gotta say....I never threw a dry fly with a rod this light and I'm amazed at how gently a dry lands on the water with it. Amazing. I really did have to slow things down alot though with my cast to get the timing right. Very relaxing way to fish!!!!!

if you zoom in on the picture, it looks like there are still a few left in there somewhere.. maybe he could dry them out..

glad you like your new rod. it is nice and relaxing casting a softer rod, especially dries.
    i'm still debating over a LLBean 3wt., a wright & mcgill 6'6" 3wt. or spending the money for a diamondfly 3wt.
    decisions, decisions!

    Doubletaper,

I have a TFO Professional in 2 and 3 weight.  Both are really nice rods and quite inexpensive.  Plus they have lifetime warrantly.  Just a thought!?!
