Looking?

Anybody looking for a boat? I ran across this one on CL, I'd be checking it out if I were in the market. Seems cheap enough...

If you're gonna do it, just do it. I did and I'm happy I did. The wife will underastand.

Yeah I'm not in the market for a new wife or a divorce so the boat will wait a few years. I'm still relatively young so I'll survive.

I just bought one (my idea), and we are dealing on another (his idea)... that one does look sweet for an Erie ride, or any of the rivers... but.... out of room... now if I had a few acres..... hhhmmmm...

looks like the size of the Merc 50 I have on my 16.5 Starcraft... not a very big powerhead for a 110, unless it's just a weird perspective in the pic...
resolution of pic is too low to zoom in on it...

A former boss had a 115 V4 Johnson and it had the same profile.  Those old Evinrude/Johnsons were short and wide...kinda like me.

That's my guess, an older Evinrude or Johnson V4. They were designed to be easy to see over, seems like these days the manufacurers are more interested in the motors being as visible as possible.

Yep, over 250# est.  Took three guys to flip it over to get the circle hook out before I released it.  Was over 6' across.  Hard to see in that pic but there was a scar on its wing from an old shark bite that was over 10" across.  The kicker is, my mainline was 30# power pro.  Took a while to get him in.  Sure miss the saltwater...
