    It never fails to amaze me what you can catch on baits you don't expect... we were throwing small tubes last year withing 1/2 mile of Erie on a feeder creek looking for stray small mouths when my fishing partner caught into something that he sure wasn't expecting, after about 10 mins of back and forth fighting he got in shallow enough to ID it. It was a huge carp! We sure weren't expecting that! Once it saw us though it was out of there, it broke the line... so it wasn't an official catch, since we didn't land it and get a pic... but just goes to show we need to expect the unexpected!

    And on the other hand there are the little guys whos eyes are too big for their stomachs... got this little channel cat trolling for big fish on a virginia lake...

    Huge Lunker ya got there ... I do agree with you never know what you're gonna get. I was at Yough Dam outflow last fall bout late Oct. Maybe Nov and got about 9 smallies on a Joe Fly when I was throwing for trout...
