Kori Wing

I got my hands on some kori bustard and finally got motivated enough to play with it. This fly, and two others yet to be tied, will be swung on the Skeena and the tribs. I worked out a deal with a guy who likes my flies and is trading me some material for them. So here is the first one that will be going to the left coast.

The head of the fly is a tad on the ugly side. A few more coats of nail polish will clean that up though. I always take my photos after one coat. I should wait to photo them in the future. Anyways the fly is done up on an AJ 3/0. I used some half bronzed couque from feathersmc for the hackle. Boy do I like that stuff. I see me getting more of that in the future. Everything else is pretty standard. Hope you like it.

I dont fish tubes. Just cant get into them. I can see some use for them, just not my style. Most of my buddies fish tubes though. I have to be different I guess.
