IDEAS PLEASE

We've got a prankster at work who we found out is terribly afraid of mice... so I need to make decent mouse fly that I can drag across the floor or counter top. I was thinking of just using grayish yarn and making some sort of shaggy looking mess. I want it to look like i mouse without putting too much time and effort into it. Any ideas?

Some people are like Slinkies...not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.

Get a live one put it in a doughnut box and set it on his desk or ask him if he wants one. That should scare him.

Buy a mouse at the pet store, lop it's head off, and drop the head in this duud's coffee.  Put the carcass on his keyboard.

I would go ahead and not screw with people afraid of mice.

Mice/Rats/Etc, IMO, a perfectly reasonable thing to be terrified of.

I didn't want to go live/real because it's work and I don't want too much trouble. I didn't even think of actually buying something. (I'm still brainwashed that making your own is cheaper than buying something.)

well, to answer your question... grey rabbit fur body trimmed to shape if preferred, a pink yarn or micro chenille wrapped nose.  a thin long cut piece of hide for a tail.  hide can also be tied in before rabbit fur body is applied for legs if desired(you can strip the hair off of the rabbit fur strip and cut with exacto knife to get good tapered tail and legs and even toes if precise with your cutting).  supposedly cohoes in alaska love this pattern.  i'm sure large mouths would as well.... good luck...  oh yeah.  if you want to get real precise, you can always do a spun grey dear hair head trimmed with a taper (like one of a muddler minnow) back to meet the grey rabbit fur.  also, if good at spinning dear hair, you can do the whole thing as deer hair and just trim it to shape.  just be sure to apply legs and tail before spinning the deer hair...  oh yeah, rabbit hide can be applied for ears as well...  man, i think i want to try this one myself... good luck

wow... I thought I was bad with using a fake... Lucky for the prankster I'm a "good kid". I was laready warned that going too far with it (ie. dead or live mice) may result in unwanted action from the higher ups, but fake on a string is ok. I was going to let it go, until she signed me and another co-worker up on PETA's email address... now it's war.

Check the toy sections of pet stores. They have realistic looking mice stuffed with catnip.
