Not suprising. There was a huge number of Coho in the estuary, last week.

The fish will come in 100 cfs., but many will meet The Reaper in an appuling act of unsportsmanlike conduct.

True, Kings around with Cohos running none stop over entire DSR by days end.
Weather pattern looks good for more action. :) Raining now at 3:30am Thursday, as I type.
    Have fun!

I fished there 9/26 and 9/27. On Wednesday lots of coho and some kings in the mix. Today, it was good early, then it slowed. The fishing started to pick back up around noon. I left at about 3 pm.  Had a great couple days.

Chrome, I was talking about the snagging we witnessed while fishing with 30 guys all using musket balls as split shot in water that is barely moving. Not to mention the idiot using a ice fishing set up, what are these jackers thinking????

Anyone that fishes in that low flow (and boasts about their snagging/lining success) is a complete JOKER.

Go to a sports show and snag the trout in the little tank, it would be more of a challenge..

I was up for my annual 1-day trip and it wasn't pretty.  I guess the DEC got a few jokers ripping at the Ballpark on saturday... too bad they weren't there monday.  These three-four guys planted in the one hole holding fish for the entire day... "C&R" my arse, they "play" 100 fish and kill 98 of them.  Who knows how many were foul-hooked. They must pee in a bottle so they don't have to leave the spot.  I should have stayed upstream and away from the pools in the village, I ended up leaving with a bad taste in my mouth.  I see what you guys meant.

They should be foul hooked, played until they are almost dead, drug up onto the bank and the smoked.

newyorkyank, I hear yah, been there done that and it is why I try to plan any of these far away fishing trips accordingly. It is likely that if the low flow conditions persist, Me and my fishing partner will resume elsewhere. Even more likely to go up the creeks during a time of rainy forecasts in november.. especially for chrome in the creeks. I have a very close friend who works a party boat off belmar n.j. and looking more forward to getting out some with my new boatrod combo. lots of fun and peace be to us fishermen!
