Don't know about selling them, but you could end up with quite with a lifetime amount if you hang out with drake enough.

My reports and advice are for everyone to enjoy, not just the paying customers.

The ones he catches are way too big!!!  They are so big that until they come to hand, he swears they are brown trout.

Does anyone still have a copy of the famous Spring Creek sucker?

I figured my name would come up.

Yeah I've been known to catch some suckers. I don't sell them though. I cook them for a shore lunch for my clients. Best way is to cook them Barree style....over a tire fire. I just use the tires that get thrown down over the bank by the nice people of Barree.

D- sorry I haven't gotten back to you. Been a rough few days with the brain pain (migraines). Tying flies for me & a benefit for someone with health problems & kids taking up my time when I got it numbed down.
Anyhow- I'm no good for Sat.- I'm suppose to fish the Tully with a good friend who lives down there.
Maybe a day next week? I really really want to get to Spring Creek before I gotta get back to work in 1 1/2 weeks.

I got outside today. Made a run to the local shop & fished the local C&R area. I got Skunked, but in my defense I only saw one Trout in the whole Crick & lake that feeds it. I think someone be poaching me fush.

Was just having a smoke in the bathroom & I thought I'd put some bead heads on hooks while I was in there. Tungsten, mind.
The good news is I got the bead back, but had to tear the sink apart & sift through an icky hair/gunk clog. Totally gross mates.
Manana I'll be fishing my fav. stream. Maybe I'll get lucky & catch one. Should be a hatch- calling for upper 40's I think.

Saw me a water snake sunning on a rock today. ****house.

You guys would have been proud of me on Saturday. Caught one of my biggest suckers to date.

The funny part was, my friends were upstream from me far enough that they didn't realize it was a sucker and thought it was a brown. When we met up later, one of them said "that looked like a pretty nice fish". I replied "yeah, it sure was". I didn't even have to lie.

Haha. I have been spying a few pods of Suckers. One pod has a Sucker I'd say goes 4 pounds easy. I'm gonna look at the record books. May have a shot at getting you in the PA record books Drake!

Sorry for the hijack. I guess not. I honestly never heard of that. I did catch a Tiger with a big Sucker hanging out of it's gullet once. Pretty cool.

Yeah- they pod up this time of year. I fished the Tully with friends.

Shoot me a pm if you want to fish that stream sometime. I've mostly been resting it. About time for Olive action to peak.

I don't know where you're from or where you're looking to fish. But go to any creek at the end of march and plunk a nightcrawler down in the deeper pools (check rules and regs for each creek) and you'll get all the suckers you want. No flies or purist approach necessary.

Salmo..sounds good bud. When I was there the other week there was something coming off in the heritage section when we had that really warm day. Nothing rising though. Saw alot of fish.
