Otsego Ice?

Anybody know if there is safe ice yet?

    bet it is but that is a big deep lake so may be iffy, if not, why not try canadaroga for perch? temp is dropping fast here , from 40s to 30 now and low 20s soon.. i bet this next artic blast will lock up those bigger impoundments sometime this weekend

    Never fished canadaroga doing well out there? Any suggestions?

    I never hit it but heard it can be good for jigging, it is alot shallower than ostego so probably safer ice this time of year.. but i really don't know..last i heard it had 5-6 black ice with sbow on top.. as for ostego , my guess is your guess.. both are a bit far for me otherwise i'd be hitting them both.

    Yea they are probably 2 hour drive for me, maybe a little less.

    got the word today no ice on otsego yet

    can someone give me advice on how to fish that lake for trout? as far as where to fish, bait to use, depth and so on. going next wednesday and have never been there before
